Waxing FAQs
BEFORE WAX:
-Exfoliate the day before the wax
-Avoid caffeine/alcohol
-Shower but do not moisturize
-Make sure hair is at least 1/4" but no longer than 1/2"
(If trimming is needed it will be an added charge of $10)
AFTER WAX:
Avoid for 48 hrs
-Hot tubs & hot showers
-Hard workouts
-Tight clothing
-Tanning
-Exfoliating
-Skin products with acids
After first 48 hrs
-Exfoliate at least 3x a week
-Stay Hydrated
-Wear SPF
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
-Sunburn/recent extended sun exposure/ tanning beds
-Retin A/ retinol
-Blood thinners
-Accutane
-Acne Medication
-AHA (glycolic & lactic)
-Antibiotics (oral & topical)
-Laser treatments (hair removal & resurfacing)
-Medications that cause skin sensitivity
